Shankara Vidya Kendra is a Registered Society established by the Sri Sharada Peetham Sringeri in 1965. The Kendra came into be being in the calm environs at the centrally located colony of Vasant Vihar of Delhi. Dr.Radhakrishnan, the then President of India, inaugurated this Kendra in the year 1967.
The Kendra is managed by a dedicated group of eminent personalities, distinguished in their respective fields of endeavor.. Mentionable among many distinguished persons who have led the Kendra in its quest, were Justice of Supreme Court, Former Governor of Karnataka, Sri Govind Narain ICS and many others.
The Kendra acts as a center for spreading Advaita Philosophy, study of world religion and carry out Vedic way of worship. The Kendra also promotes Indian culture. Heritage, Ethos & its values through various publications and by organizing conferences, seminars, training courses and workshops at National Level from time to time.
